reflection post/ vocabulary

I believe that my motivation isn't that good right now. I need to pass this class so next semester ill be able to move on. I need to push myself more and not procrastinate like I've been doing. One of my jobs which is at 5 guys is very tedious so when I get off I just feel like falling asleep. I need to stop my bad habits, because if I don't it will only get worse. These next 8 weeks I will push myself more and focus more on school. I will take more time doing homework, and also getting it done ahead of time. At times I become improbable but I have no idea why. Not really when it comes to school but mostly at work I question myself on things when really I'm right and know what I am doing. I believe in myself though, I never like to give up on things that need to be done. I will salvage and work ten times harder. My motivation comes from me wanting to succeed and I know I could and will make it happen.

reflection post

This past week I read the book and planned to go over what I did not understand. It went well and at the end of the chapter it all made sense. what I found a little bit of trouble with was finding the answers to my questions, but eventually I found them. Also what I did was turned the titles of paragraphs into questions. Some reading strategies I used was scanning the chapter, and underlined all words I did not understand. I took notes on the side of each paragraph and listed things that stood out to me. What I have planned for this coming week is to get more of the project done, and ask more questions that I didn't understand. Some adjustments that I need to make this week is not to miss class which I hardly do. Another thing is to ask questions if I do not understand something. Using maps to understand better and using different ways to learn things. I believe I will be successful with using all these techniques and gain knowledge to get good grades on my assignments.

Reflection

what I learned from the first habit of mind was never to give up. I played softball and failure came a lot growing up. For example being a close game pitching, and your coach telling you to throw a curveball and myself  shaking off he sign. That was because I was scared of failure and letting my team down. As Michael Jordan explains his struggles and failures he explains how that lead him to success. I've learned that it happen to everyone. Failure should make you stronger to become better at something not weaker. In the second clip applying past knowledge to new situations it showed how he went from using old habits to new ones. in past experience such as for such I have learned to not procrastinate like I use to. My homework would be done the day of which lead me to not do well on it, or just turning it in not completed. Doing things the right way instead of the wrong
thing is always the best thing to do. At times I tend to do what I think is faster which is bad, but I have learned the hard way and now do things correctly. The final clip striving for accuracy explains how achieving things is good, but those who just say it was ok should not be satisfied. I believe that is true I always try my best at everything and I have to be great at something I do. When I get something like that was Ok I tell myself I have to practice and become great. For example practicing my batting, I asked my coach if he saw improvement and he said you need more work. Hearing that I did not stop, I spent hours practicing to get to my best.

In my life backpack I carry the things I believe I need the most throughout the day. I carry my school binders and my notebooks for the classes I am talking because it’s necessary to come prepared for your classes. I also carry work clothes because usually after school I have to go to work, I work at 5 guys so it’s just a shirt and some pants. I sometimes carry my shoes in my bag, but that’s not all the time, only when I feel like I’m going to be in a rush right after class. One of the most important  things I carry in my bag is my car keys because that’s my way of transportation and it’s a necessity and if I lose those I would be screwed. Something I also carry in my bag related to school is my writing utensils such as pens, pencils, and highlighters and the occasional ruler for math. As a girl I believe the most important thing to bring is pads, tampons and of course Advil or some kind of pain medication for the worst tie of the month. Also a very important necessity is some hand sanitizer, tissues and allergy medicine because when the season change I usually get crazy uncontrollable allergies, so I feel there’s a big need to carry those or I won’t be able to stop sneezing and blowing my nose every 5 seconds. And these are the things I carry in my bag on a daily basis.
